How to Use Map?

The following steps explain how to add the Map object to a form and use it in its basic configuration.

Add the Map Object to the Form

  1. Open the form design screen
  2. Go to the Toolbox panel
  3. Locate the Map object
  4. Add the object to the form using drag / drop

Configure Map Properties

  1. Click the Map object added to the form
  2. The Property Viewer panel opens on the right
  3. Under the General tab, configure:
    • Map file (Vector Map File)
    • Map title
    • Interaction settings

Connect a Data Source (Optional)

  1. Select the Data Source field of the Map object
  2. Connect the data source that provides the data to be displayed on the map
  3. Configure region, country, or coordinate mappings

With this setup, areas on the map can be dynamically colored or highlighted based on data.

Example Scenario

Regional Sales Map

  • Data source: Region – Sales Amount
  • Using the Map object:
    • Regions are colored according to sales amounts
    • Users can quickly understand the overall situation via the map

Tips

  • For large data sets, an appropriate format (SVG) should be preferred for performance
  • For scenarios requiring printing, PDF format is recommended
  • Map titles improve report readability

Notes

  • The Map object is frequently used in dashboard and reporting screens
  • In interactive scenarios, Enabled settings should be configured carefully

What Is Map?

The Map object is a form component that allows geographic information to be visually displayed on a form.
With this object, location-based data can be presented to users using maps, regions, countries, cities, or coordinate-based (latitude–longitude) representations.

The Map object is commonly preferred in scenarios such as:

  • Location visualization
  • Regional analysis
  • Map-based reporting
  • Geographic distribution visualization
