Workflow Management Permissions
Workflow Management Permissions allow users to access workflows defined within projects and initiate operations using these workflows.
Workflow Permission Definition and Usage
Permissions defined under Workflow Management determine which users can access workflows associated with specific applications. With this authorization, users can select an application-based workflow in screens that allow workflow selection.
For example:
- When defining a menu item in the Application Explorer, if the Start a Workflow menu type is selected, only applications with permission will appear in the Application selection field.
- In the Document Management module, within the folder properties under the New File tab, selecting a permitted application allows workflows from that application to be triggered when a new file is added.
Related Notes
- These permissions are defined on an application basis.
- In workflow initiation screens, only workflows from applications with defined permissions can be selected.
