Document Search Filters and Options
Search Options is a screen that allows users to search document titles, contents, and metadata. With basic and advanced search options, users can quickly and thoroughly filter results to find the desired documents efficiently.
Fields in the Search Screen
Search Source Type
The Search Source Type determines which data is searched. This option allows users to choose different data sources for more specific search results.
Source Type | Description |
---|---|
Document Information | Allows searching document titles, descriptions, or other metadata. For example, this option is used to search based on document names and descriptions. |
Profile Form Information | Enables searching within profile form (metadata) information added to documents. It is useful for finding documents associated with specific projects, departments, or custom fields. |
Full-Text Search | Searches within the document content, including OCR-processed documents. Lists documents containing the specified keywords. |

Field Name | Description |
---|---|
Type | Determines the type of content to be searched. Users can filter by Repository, Folder, or File. |
Created By | Allows searching for documents based on the user who created them. Filters results to show only documents created by a specific user. |
Location | Enables selecting where the document is located. Users can search in Any Location or specify a particular repository or folder. |
Modification Date | Filters documents based on their last modification date. Users can search for documents modified on a specific date or within a selected date range. |
Using Search Options

Basic Search:
- The search bar at the top of the main screen allows quick searches.
- When a keyword is entered, the system lists matching results from document titles and contents.

- For more detailed searches, users can switch to the Advanced Search screen.
- This screen allows users to refine search results using specific criteria.
- Filtering options include Search Source Type, Type, Created By, Location, and Modification Date.

- Search results can be sorted and filtered using specific criteria.
- The search bar at the top right helps users quickly locate specific documents.
- Results can be sorted by document name, date, or creator.

Viewing Document Details:
- Clicking on any document in the search results opens its detailed view.
- The detail panel displays all metadata, content, and related information about the document.

- Users can access previously performed searches in the Search History section.
- This section lists past searches, allowing users to quickly apply previous criteria.
Authorization and Usage Conditions
- Authorization: Users can only search documents they have permission to access.
- Filtering: Search options can be customized and saved based on specific criteria.
- Search History: Users can review previous searches in the Search History section.
